More on Exoplanets

http://exoplanet.eu/catalog.php

Click on "Interactive catalog"

Click on "All candidates detected"

You will get a table with all 473 (known as of yesterday -- if you return in a few days, there will be more).

On the right, in the heading line of the table, click on more data.

Two columns are of interest:
ALPHA (Right Ascension) and
DELTA (declination).

You are looking for something close to

alpha = 3 47 24
delta +24 07 00

You may investigate anything that falls between
ALPHA 3 30 00 to 4 00 00, and
DELTA +20 00 00 to +28 00 00

This would be in the vicinity of the Pleiades.

You can make your search easier by sorting the planets according to their position. You do that by clicking on the word ALPHA at the top of the column.

Then scroll down to the appropriate values of right ascension.

The closest one I find is at
ALPHA = 03 48 00
DELTA = 40 31 50

The star is known by the poetic name of "HD 23596" and the planet is HD 23596 b
(the lower case a is reserved for the star itself, when you need to distinguish it from its planets)

You can find more info by clicking on the name of the planet (first column, on the left)
